Our music curriculum aims at developing students’ music skills, creativity, aesthetic sensitivity and positive values through enjoyment in music activities. Students will explore music through singing, recorder playing (primary 3 to 6), music appreciation and creative activities.

To tailor-make our music curriculum, our teaching staff join the professional learning communities in EDB. Our school is being invited to share the teaching plans developed in seminars for teachers.

Various music-related extracurricular activities are provided for our students to develop their talents, which includes amazing voice, Chinese drum, Chinese folk songs, percussion, recorder team, show choir, violin and wind instrument classes. Students join inter-school music competitions like the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and got good results in recorder ensemble, recorder duet, recorder solo and vocal solo competitions.

Our school arranges music outings so that students can appreciate music performed by professional musicians like Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Students have multiple opportunities to perform music in front of an audience, both at school and in community. They even serve the community through music performance through LCSD Music Office’s School Care Subsidy Scheme.
