Student-librarian and Reading Ambassadors

Teacher-librarian are proud of our Student-librarians and Reading Ambassadors who help in the library.  They try their best to perform duties.

Student-librarians assist teacher-librarian to run the library smoothly.  Student-librarians rotate their duties.  They help in the check-in and check-out counter, guide schoolmates to use the computers, encourage schoolmates to read or borrow books etc.

Reading Ambassadors will help to promote reading and they select story books from the library as well as read stories to P.1 to P.3 students during the 2nd recess.  This story-telling scheme is to enhance junior students’ interest in listening to stories and give senior students the opportunity to model reading competency.

Purchasing Library Books

Our school is continuously purchasing different genres of Chinese and English books in order to increase the school library collection and to support teaching and learning across the curriculum.

Cross Curriculum with teachers

The library will display books with various topics based on teachers’ requests and set up displays to support the topics.  We will exchange books in the magazine racks which are placed in the hall.

Book Fair

Our school conducts a book fair once a year during Parents’ Day.  The book fair provides an opportunity for parents and students to buy reading materials at a reduced price.  A wide range of Chinese and English reading materials are displayed during the book fair.  Teachers also have the opportunity to purchase teaching resources.

We hope students can utilize our school library and enjoy reading.  The more they read, the more knowledge they will gain.
